On the evening of July 17th 2010, the Straz Performing Arts Center in Tampa Florida was packed with muscular bodies, fit bodies, and beautiful bodies in bikinis, all there to compete in the IFBB Tampa Pro Bodybuilding Weekly Championships, www.ifbbtampapro.com. The "Tampa Pro" as it is called, is becoming one of the biggest and most popular contests among the athletes and fans. The contest is promoted by Tampa's own Tim Gardner, owner of Body Tech Fitness Emporium in Westchase, who once again put on a world class event.

Ben White Takes the Tampa Pro Title

Ben "The Show Stopper" White narrowly edged out Troy Alves to take the overall men's title. White came in with mass and cuts, showing density and thickness in his back, arms, and delts. Troy Alves finished second, and many thought he should have won, coming in ripped to the bone and in his best condition yet. Alves showed wide, sculpted shoulders and a narrow waist, with plenty of definition and detail. Alves came in with his trademark mass, symmetry, and condition, but it wasn't enough to beat The Show Stopper. Finishing in third was the "World's Strongest Bodybuilder" Johnnie Jackson. Jackson came in huge and with plenty of thickness, but was lacking the detail of White or Alves. White, Alves, and Jackson each earned a place at this year's Mr. Olympia contest September 24 to 25, by placing in the top three. The Mr. Olympia is the super bowl of bodybuilding.
